A True Loss

Alexander McQueen dies at age 40.
Lee McQueen was found dead in his apartment in central London a little after 10am this morning. After committing suicide.

This is soooo sad, it's bad enough when such a legend dies, but the fact that he committed suicide is just such a blow to the fashion world. It's pretty surreal actually. This comes as such a shock considering his secondary line McQ was supposed to be showing at New York Fashion Week THIS AFTERNOON! And a few weeks from now on March 9th, Alexander McQueen was scheduled to show in Paris Fashion Week. The McQ show for this afternoon has been cancelled. This was the invitation:

When these sorts of things happen, you can't help but wonder what was so devastating in their lives that they had to go and end it. What could he have been going through? And to do it right before his lines were supposed to premier? WOW! With all the fame and money and success. I guess those things really don't matter if inside you're completely lost and saddened. I'm still in shock but I seriously hope he rests in peace.

He was such a rebel and I think that's what he will be remembered most by.
