snow day

Well today is an official snow day in NYC. All public schools are closed, mostly everything is closed.... but most importantly, Brooklyn College is closed!!!!! To be honest, whether the school was closed or not, I was NOT going to leave my house anyway! Not with all that snow coming down. 

The news is saying that it is possible to get up to 18 INCHES! WTF... I don't think NYC has been hit with a snow storm like this since 1996! LOL. Actually I think there was another one after that, I'm just not too sure what year it was. They're also saying that the morning is minor compared to what we have coming around 5pm-ish.... The trek to work for some may seem difficult but getting back home will be even worse. Being the loyal employee that she is, despite the obvious circumstances, my mom took her self to work. I woke up this morning (around 7:30am) just in time to try talking her out of it. She didn't budge. My mom is not afraid of some little snow..... but I am. I'm afraid for her. But anyway, I prayed and I think she'll be alright. I'll give her a call later to make sure everything's cool. As for me, I'm gonna stay my butt in the house and get straight down to business. It was a good thing I only had one class today, which was Computer..... My Professor sent out an email earlier saying school was closed and he definitely didn't forget to put that link to the Lab and HW that we have to do. Hahhha. So I'm just gonna do that. Along with watching "Riding in Cars with Boys" which I've been anxious to see again for sooooo freakin long now. I was so excited when I seen that Esynce had the DVD! It's one of her favorite movies as well. I'll also try my hardest to finish up Season 5 of  "LOST". I'm only up to episode 9 and I haven't been able to watch the new episodes of Season 6 yet. Well yeah, those are my plans for being stuck in the house today.... Hopefully Dan stays home from work too :)

If you do leave the house today, don't forget to be EXTRA careful and plan your time accordingly. I'm sure the subway and traffic are going to be hell.
