TWENTY-TEN

So its about a week into the new year and I'm not really sure about how things are going... UGH! There are seriously A LOT of things I not only want to accomplish but NEED to accomplish this year.... It's not exactly new years resolutions because regardless of if it was a new year or not, these things just need to get done. Here's a little list:

1. find a PERMANENT job! - First of all, I can't get anything else done without having this checked off of my list. I was recently 'seasonally' employed at Anthropologie, which is an AWESOME retail shop part of Urban Outfitters Inc. Unfortunately because of the seasonal factor I was only employed there for just over a month :( but I'm hoping to get a chance to stay with the company so we'll see how that goes. And of course, I'll keep you updated!

2. settle into my OWN place - Once I get a secure job I will most definitely start the hunt for

my own place.... well, a place for my boyfriend and I. hehe!

3. school FULL TIME - I've been in school but I haven't been full time in about 2 or 3 semesters because I've been putting work first. Well this semester will be different. First, I will no longer be at a community college (woo hoo!) I will finally be transferring over to Brooklyn College to obtain a bachelors in Fine Arts. And second, I am going to try my hardest to find a job that will be flexible enough for me to go to school at decent hours during the day. That's part of the reason why i want to stay in retail, because although the hours are unpredictable, they will surely be flexible. But like I said, we'll see how that goes.

4. TRAVEL! TRAVEL! TRAVEL! - ohhhhhh world..... how I long to see you! But seriously, the first country I'd like to visit this year is...... BARBADOS!!

mmmmm...... Yesssssss.... Barbados.... where I can relax.... lie down in the in the warm white sand..... get a beautiful tan.... take a dip in the crystal clear sea.... ahhh yes.... this is where I want to be..... for the whole of 2010 if it was up to me!!! Why Barbados you ask? well it is an island DUH! who wouldn't want to go?! Anyway, I choose this place first because this is where my boyfriend's family is from and he's already visited my family's country, which is Panama, so now it's time for me to visit his...... PLUS! who wouldn't want to visit a place where you may possibly not have to pay for a hotel stay. LoL

5. DIY - This past holiday I made some pretty great canvas totes to give away as gifts to a few friends. My mom helped with the sewing (because I'm not that great at it yet) and I did the screen printing with the help of my bf and his great photoshop skills! I wish I had a pic to show you guys what the outcome was, but I don't. I'll have to upload one later. Anywho, I'd like to continue doing a lot of great DIY's this year because.... well..... they're easy and they're fun! and it's always nice to say "YEP! I MADE IT MYSELF!!!"

6. HMMMM - hmmm well.... my number six goal is to just have fun.... you know, the little things. Like hang with my girlfriends, see lots of movies, watch my two niece's mature, take my mom out a lot more (and hopefully find her a boyfriend HA!.... seriously though), hang with my family in general, meet new people, and of course maintain my wonderful relationship with the love of my life!

So yea, those are the main things that NEED to go down in twenty-ten! But you know things aren't ever gonna go the way you planned so let's hope I get most of these accomplished. 2009 was sorta shitty so I just pray that 2010 isn't NEARLY as shitty.... we'll see
