Productive Week

So sorry I haven't been writing much.... This week has been pretty good. I finally got up and filled out a bunch of job applications, I went to hand them in... gave lots of other places my resume (even places I've never really thought I'd EVER try to work at.... but desperate times calls for desperate measures, right?), I applied to jobs online....mmm hmm it's definitely been a heck of a week.... but I'm not done yet! I feel good about things though, I know I'll be getting a job very soon and I'm feeling super excited about that! Also, today was my very first day of school at Brooklyn College and it went really well! I had Philosophy first and then Modern Art. My other two classes are Computing and Music, my first day for those two will be on Monday! So anyway, my spirit has been way up this week, thank God for that! Tomorrow I will continue my job search.... I've applied to tons of places but I'm not stopping until I get that phone call saying "You're Hired!" and I definitely can't wait! Sometimes I have these little silly daydreams that while job hunting, some TOP EXEC will see me with my resume and say "Hey, you need a job? Come work for me!" hahhha! But I know that's not reality.... well at least not my reality. Well anyway, I'll keep you all posted on my job and school progress!

finally!!!

I FINALLY got my hands on these babies!

 I've wanted them for Lord knows how long now. I first seen them at Urban Outfitters but I never got them because they were $24! And I was NOT gonna pay that much for a pair of earrings. So then, around the time when I was doing my christmas shopping I seen the SAME EXACT pair in Charlotte Russe. And guess what, they were 2 for $8! But for some reason I didn't get them (stupid move right?). So pretty much after that these babies never left my mind and I've been wanting to go back to C.R for a while but never had the chance. So today finally, I had to walk past Manhattan Mall to get to dinner so I stopped in Afaze to see if they had them. AND THEY DID! But for $10. So I left them, RAN to C.R to see if they were still there for 2 for $8 but they weren't so I RAN back to Afaze snatched them up and paid my 10 bucks! LOL Imagine if I paid $24 for these things at UO and then seen them at other stores for so cheap. Boy would I have been mad! But thankfully I didn't get them at UO and was lucky enough to still find them after so long! I'm so excited to wear them. YAY!

So here's how my hair came out:

It didn't come out exactly the way I expected. I think because we didn't have enough of the rods, we had to use big chunks of hair and some curls were tighter than others. But it's fine... I still think it looks cute!

Wrap Snap & Go!

So today, my mom and I went to the pharmacy and found this in the 'AS SEEN ON TV' section:

Hahha! I've been wanting my hair to get a little wave for a while now (cuz it's super straight), but I'm not great with curling irons so I've never done it. Unfortunately they only had this ONE pack left, and with alllll the hair on my head, I knew I needed at least two packs. But they didn't have any in back stock either so we went home with just this one and did what we could with it. My mom helped me out by putting the little rollies in my hair.

A freakin TATTOO!

(well not exactly this one and definitely not this big, but I do want a feather tattoo somewhere on my body. Feathers are another obsession of mine.... I'll do a post soon on my OBSESSIONS)

So, I'm 21 and I don't have a tattoo yet. I wasn't one of those rebellious kids that got one despite their parents' disapproval. I am actually afraid of getting one, not because of the pain (I'm REALLY good with pain), but because of my mother's response. I still live with my mom and she reallyyy doesn't want us to get any while living under her roof, well she doesn't want us to get any at all but.... c'mon. So I think I'll just wait till I get out.... which WILL be this year, hopefully before the summer! Tash and I were supposed to get a tattoo for the freakin LONGEST! We would always say... "ok, ok let's do it next week", or "yeah, as soon as I save some money" but next week came and money came and went and no tattoo's for either of us. But we're not rushing it anymore. When the time comes, we'll get our tattoo's and they'll be BANGIN!

TGIF

Well.... don't really care that it's friday.... it's really just any other day for me. I just needed a title. he.he! Anyway.... do you ever have those days where you wish you were one of those spoiled-ass trust fund babies? Well, that's the day I'm having today. I wish.... I wish.... I wish...... I f*cking WISH I had the money to do what I wanted, when I wanted. But I'm NOT a trust-fund baby so therefore I cannot do any of those things. Although, I think that actually struggling and working for things that you want and need give it all the more pleasure and satisfaction in the end. So..... I'm not complaining. Recently though, not having a job and school not having started yet is really making me one of THEEE laziest persons I know! I'm gonna be COMPLETELY HONEST here.... so beware of the horror. Here's how my day goes: Wake up at approximately 12:30pm EVERYDAY (unless I have something to do), go to the bathroom, take a tinkle, brush my teeth, wash my face, go back to my room (I'm usually home alone because everyone else has a damn job), turn the television on, open up my laptop, open up google chrome........... then just sit there and ponder..... usually about what I should write a post about, or I'll just open up a fav blog and just browse. Then I'll either write a post or not... all while watching TV, I'll shower and then when my mom gets home around 4:30/5pm I'll go into the living room and sit with her and watch MORE tv. From then on i'll just be sitting there with her... during which my brother will come home, Danny will come home, I'll probably blog (like I am now), we'll eat dinner.... blah blah blah. Around 10pm my mom goes to sleep and then around 11/12-ish I'll go back into my room and most likely blog some more (I do most of my blogging at night or in the wee hours of the morning, if you haven't noticed), Danny and I will either watch a movie or TV until about 3am and that's when I'll go to sleep.... until the next day when the horrific cycle starts all over again. Pathetic huh? This is a usual day, but don't think I'm a total loser and NEVER EVER leave the house, there are days when I get up and go where ever I need to go that day. But honestly most days are like this. What I need to be doing though is, painting, drawing some new designs for my screen-printing, fixing my resume and applying for FREAKIN jobs. BUT I haven't been doing those things and I'm quite disappointed in myself. I feel like I have no encouragement, no...... motivation. I don't know WTF is up with me. I've become.... A DOWNER. But the thing is that I don't feel down... I just know I'm being lazy.... I wish I could kick myself in the ass. Well this Monday I'm gonna see if tash is free and hopefully we'll go and hand in applications (if she hasn't already). Which means that I have some homework to do this weekend....fixing my resume. It' not much to fix anyway... just gotta add in Anthropologie.... And I'll also try my luck on Craigslist. Anywho, I'll keep you posted on my pathetic life.

My Glamour has arrived!

I love Glamour magazine! It came earlier today (well yesterday, since it's 2 in the morning) but I haven't even gotten a chance to take it out of the plastic! Tomorrow though, that baby is mine!
